Jen morris aka [sic] started exploring sound when video and film became a part of her visual art work. If rumors are to be believed, as of late, she can be spotted designing god knows what and messing with some rather disconcerting sounds in the intimacy of her private studio.
Morris’s music is a travelogue through spontaneous landscapes and an electronic re-interpretation of the patterns and random order of organic principles. A re-indexation of the extraordinary and the mundane elements that constitute our daily lives.

Description

The battery voltage can be reduced via a potentiometer, which creates unstable circuit states that generate variable and organic rhythms. The synth consumes almost no power (< 0.5mA) and can be operated with weak, nearly empty batteries.

Ralf Schreiber

Ralf Schreiber works with electronics, motors, microphones, and small speakers. This leads to kinetic sound and light installations as well as electronic music. His work takes a playful and experimental approach. It focuses on minimal robotics, random processes, and self-sustaining systems. Small solar cells are often used for power supply, which he uses to explore low-energy conversion processes of light into movement and sound. The output of his installations is minimal, meaning the sounds are very quiet, and the movements are sometimes at the edge of perception. In addition, he advocates for open hardware and regularly offers workshops with circuit concepts and blueprints of his works.

Pivophone and World Premiere of Pivosynkie Jen Morris & Michi Egger

Jen morris aka [sic] started exploring sound when video and film became a part of her visual art work. If rumors are to be believed, as of late, she can be spotted designing god knows what and messing with some rather disconcerting sounds in the intimacy of her private studio. Morris’s music is a travelogue through spontaneous landscapes and an electronic re-interpretation of the patterns and random order of organic principles. A re-indexation of the extraordinary and the mundane elements that constitute our daily lives.

Michael Egger (*1974) is a video artist, tinkerer, programmer, musician and pedagogue. He develops musical instruments that produce video instead of sound, instruments that let you manipulate images in real time and give them a musical expression. His inventions, like the synkie, videobass, udmx or the gnusb, are published under open source licenses.

Flipfloater - Claude Winterberg

FlipFloater creates unique soundscapes with his minimal DIY electro setup featuring gritty lo-fi sounds. His powerful basslines and breakbeat rhythms provide a solid, danceable foundation. On stage, FlipFloater uses almost exclusively self-built sound generators, synthesizers, and effects devices.
